The Success Story of CureCancer

CureCancer was selected to present their success story at the Morning Health talks embracing Innovation “Startups doing Pilots in Hospitals: A how-to guide!” May 23, 2023. CureCancer feels very proud and greatly honored!
The innovation of CureCancer is the patient-driven function of the platform, which is driven by the patients to self-care and prevention. CureCancer's vision is to support people across the spectrum and Pillars of cancer, from prevention, diagnosis, treatment and subsequent survival. The platform was successfully connected to Attikon Hospital, within the SymbIASIS program.
The event is organized by the National Documentation Center of Greece – EKT, in the framework of the actions of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology-EIT Health HUB for Greece and the Capacity Building Program of the Hub, SymbIASIS.

We warmly congratulated the two Startups, the Award winner CTOs Shuttle Catheters/Athroa, and the CEO Bioassist, who were also selected to present their success stories at the event.
Distinguished Professor Efthymios Avgerinos, Attikon Hospital, Vascular, Professor Amanda Psyrri, Attikon Hospital, 2nd Pathology/Internal Medicine-Oncology and Dr Panos Vardas, Cardiology, Hygeia Hospital, will present their collaboration with the connected Startups and how they realized the Innovation at the session “As seen by Hospitals”.
Thanos Vratimos, Digital & Innovation Insights Expert Roche Diagnostics Hellas will present the Innovation “As seen by Pharma/Diagnostics Companies”.
Beata Kurucz, RIS Collaboration Lead, EIT Health Innostars, Georgios Megas, EIT Health Hub Coordinator EKT, and Noemi Liber, EIT Health HUB Hungary, will welcome the presenters.
The event will close with panel discussion on Hospital Innovation, on the advantages and challenges for hospitals, healthcare personnel and patients, priorities and main interests, inner and outer motivational factors of healthcare providers in innovations.

The National Documentation Center of Greece – EKT is the coordinator of the Greek node of the Enterprise Europe Network – Hellas (EEN-Hellas), the largest business support network in the world, and the National Contact Point for Horizon Europe and more specifically for Cluster 1 Health 4 Digital as well as Marie Curie Actions.
SymbIASIS
The SymbIASIS project is being carried out by the National Documentation Center (EKT) in its role as a Hub of EIT Health in Greece, with the support of the Archimedes Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of NKUA.
The project aims to cover the need to connect Hospitals with startups in the sector so that hospitals can be modernized, digitally transformed with open innovation methods and/or Innovation procurement. At the same time Startups can validate their technological solutions in a real environment with pilot or pre-pilot tests.
