CureCancer - mycancer.gr participated in the 84th Thessaloniki International Exhibition and presented its innovative online platform, with the support of Athens Startup Business Incubator (Th.E.A.), which is one of the most important initiatives of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).

Millions of patients during their oncological therapy or after therapy struggle to collect the information of their multiyear medical history, which is needed to communicate with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, who are involved in their management. Thus, we inspired CureCancer - mycancer.gr, a patient-driven tool, which came to meet the above medical need. CureCancer - mycancer.gr has clinical and social benefits. CureCancer - mycancer.gr aims to increase the success of cancer therapy and patient survival, to maintain the quality of life within the family and help patient to reintegrate into society, to reduce the financial toxicity as well as the burden of the oncologist.

The CureCancer - mycancer.gr team had the opportunity to present, within the frame of Digital Greece, to a well-informed and demanding audience its online platform, which is simple for patients to use, offers significant clinical, economic and social benefits and is in Greek and English. Representatives from the business world showed increased interest in the platform. Digital Greece participated at Thessaloniki International Fair for the second year in the row. Digital Greece is an initiative of the Ministry of Digital Governance, and TIF-Helexpo, in collaboration with Industry Disruptors - Game Changers. It hosts high technology, innovative technology and entrepreneurship, startups and scaleups, startup support structures, universities, research centers, and funding providers. The aim of the Digital Greece initiative is to promote innovative entrepreneurship. Exhibitors had the opportunity to look for business opportunities, present products and services, explore, and discuss possible collaborations.

The 84th TIF (September 7th to 15th, 2019), a celebration of entrepreneurship, innovation and culture, carried on the tradition that connects with entrepreneurship and extroversion, while at the same time celebrated innovation and international culture, enhancing the international profile of the organization. Seminars and lectures were organized as part of the Exhibition, which attracted the interest of visitors. TIF is establishing itself as an exhibition hub between East and West. The selected honored country this year was India, which, with its newly renewed face, presented its enormous prospects. In the field of information technology and services, India has developed high technology in all fields and has become a global hub. Agriculture, tourism and high technology are some of the areas of common interest between India and Greece.

We would like to express our thanks to Th.E.A. for the generous hospitality, to Digital Greece of the Ministry of Digital Governance, for the invitation and Mrs. Rosa Tzima for the excellent organization of our participation. We also wish to express our gratitude to the Hellenic Society of Medical Oncology for embracing CureCancer - mycancer.gr from its first steps and put it under its auspices.
